Industrial scrap in a corner:

Driving onto an autobahn sliproad at a speed of some 70 km/h, 9 out of 10 electric motors didn’t manage to stay on the loading area of the truck (Figure 3).

Hardly surprising! The units had been secured to skids and loaded. The load itself was, however, secured with a single strap (2 lashing belts fastened together to make one long one) which was simply lashed down over the length of the load units. The securing effect of this method is practially zero!

Possible improvements:

Use of non-slip mats
Creation of a tight-fit
Use of lashing (direct securing) to the sides, rear and front
