Potentially lethal negligence:
This articulated truck was stopped in Belgium. The load was two 12 metric ton granite blocks. Neither was secured in any way, whether by tight fit or direct lashing. Moreover, the blocks were placed on lumber beams with a square cross-section, which encourage rolling.
The two blocks could easily have been secured with 8 belts each in the form of loop lashings to the side, to the rear and to the front (possibly also with overhead loops). Using lumber beams with a rectangular (plank-like) aspect ratio under the load prevents rolling.
